02.12.11 | Week 6; Final Week
This week we hurried up and tried to finish the robot and finished adding the "touch ups" on the minibot and the robot's arm. We shipped the robot nearly an hour before it was due. Website finished major pages in the website and Media set up the order forms for the FIRST Green e-watt LED Lightbulbs. We've added up how much money we collected from our bottle drive, and we have received over $600 in cash! Construction finished our pit and practice field and we've tested our minibot and robot, and they work very well. We're preparing for the RIT Finger Lakes Regional Championship on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We also recieved our brand new team shirts this week and ready to try them out at RIT!

02.21.11 | RIT Finger Lakes Regionals
This week we prepared for our trip to the RIT Finger Lakes Regional FRC Championship. 10 selected members reported in on Thursday during school hours to RIT to set up our pit and test our robot and meet the other FIRST Teams competing there. On Friday, members who qualified with enough points went to RIT during school hours to the match. Team 3157 was in the first match where we got DQ for boundary line penalty. The next couple of matches didn't go so well as our automonous mode glitched up and our robot suffered problems. On Saturday, we got chosen to be in an alliance for the Elimination Rounds with Teams 340 of Churchville-Chili and 1126 of Webster. We reached the Finals against the hardest alliance in FIRST consisting of Teams 2056, 217, and 1518. We won our first match end the Finals due to our minibot race but sadly, we lost the other two, giving us Silver. Congratulations to us for placing Silver and reaching the Finals as a 2nd year team.
09.13.11 | A New Season
On September 13, 2011 we had our very first Eastridge Robotics meeting. We met in room E13 in the high school. We met some very familiar faces but also we met an entire bunch of new faces, many of which are freshman this year. We discussed what we do in Robotics, and our first events. We are having a breat cancer walk in October, and we are preparing a stall in a carnival in October.
During the upcoming meetings we will be discussing what we do as a FIRST Robotics team and how we work. We made every member sign up and we described our points system. We also gave each member a packet detailing our different sub teams and officer positions. Team members are required to sign the sheets in the packet to be allowed to attend the Ruckus and to be allowed to board the bus to go to Bausch + Lomb, our main sponsor.
